Inmate texting apps are the best way to stay in contact with a relative or friend who is currently in text inmate jail. These apps are designed to comply with prison rules and allow family and friends to send messages, photos videos, eCards, video calls and even money to their trust account in prison. There are additional federal inmate apps that provide additional services, such as phone calls and video visits.
The JPay app, for example, enables family and friends to transfer money to the trust account of an inmate along with photos, email as well federl inmate texting as eCards, video grams and more. It also lets users create personalized postcards by using their own photographs. It's a safer, more secure alternative to postal mail.
Another popular texting app for inmates is GettingOut. It allows "simple reliable and reliable communication" between inmates with their loved family members. The app, available in certain correctional facilities, allows inmates to upload images and text their family and friends on their tablets. It costs inmates $0.25 for each message and loved ones pay for the data that they use to view their messages (but not for explicit photos). You can also make use of the GettingOut app to share images on Facebook or Foursquare and check in on Foursquare, and include a video in a YouTube upload.
